Obituary for Annie Louise Reed

Annie Louise Reed, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, with her loving family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Reed, and two of her sons, Bruce Fancher and Cary Wilkinson.
Annie was born in Lubbock, Texas on September 22, 1940 to George and Nancy Willeford. She spent 20+ years working in the printing business as a typesetter. Then in 1980, she and her husband left printing behind to move to Susanville, California, where they bought a small deli that Annie managed for approximately 10 years. She then went to work for High Desert State Prison and retired as an Office Assistant at the age of 63.
Upon the death of her husband Bill in 2007, Annie relocated to Heber Springs, Arkansas, to be closer to family. She loved to cook and bless people with her fantastic meals and her legendary holiday cookie platters. She also loved to crochet and made many afghans that she donated for use the local nursing home or gifted to friends and family members.
Annie was a member of The Sanctuary Church in Heber Springs until such time she was unable to attend due to physical constraints. She loved her Lord and Savior, the church, her family and people in general.
Those who knew her were attracted to her sweet and generous spirit. She was loved by those who knew her, and her kind words and actions will be missed.
Annie is survived by, two sisters, Mary Rhyne of Beeville, Texas and Kathy Byerley and husband John from Robstown, Texas, a brother, Dale Willeford of Moorseville, North Carolina, 3 children, Robert Lee of Grandbury, Texas, Michael Willeford and wife Carol of Gastonia, North Carolina and Scott Willeford and wife Kim of Heber Springs, Arkansas. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family that she loved dearly, all of which will cherish her memory.
Funeral services will be Saturday May 18, 2019 at 3 pm at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Byerley officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service at Heber Spring Funeral Home Chapel.
