Bessie Ellen Gardner Tillery, 88, of Clinton, passed away Thursday July 27, 2017. Bor n May 4, 1929 in Clinton to the late Thomas and Nina Fryman Gardner, Bessie was a homemaker. She was also a member of the First General Baptist Church of Clinton, enjoyed her flowers, sewing, and shopping.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Gloria Jean Lovell and husband James of Clinton, Pat Crowell and husband Kennith of Clinton, Linda Travelstead and husband Mitch of Washington, Brenda Olberg and husband Gene of Minnesota; twelve grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren, as well as nieces nephews, friends and other family.
Bessie is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Tillery, three brothers, three sisters and a grandson, Jimmy Lovell.
Visitation will be Sunday July 30, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm at Clinton Funeral Service. Services will be Monday, July 31 at 1 pm in the Clinton Funeral Service Chapel with Brother Ron Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in Bradley Cemetery.
