Obituary for Betty Lou Davis

Betty Lou Davis, 78, of Clinton, went to her heavenly home on June 1st, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in Benton, Arkansas on December 22nd, 1940 to the late James Wesley Sanders and Martha Paralee Sanders. She is preceded in death by siblings Marion Sanders, Annie Powell, Martha Riley, Luther Sanders, Harvey Sanders, George Sanders, and Mildred Sanders. Her husband of 53 years, Alden Davis stood waiting for their reunion at heavens gates.
Left to cherish the memories is her son, Timothy Davis (Beth) of Ola, Arkansas, granddaughter, Christina Meyers (Robert) of Dennard, Arkansas; brothers James Sanders of Benton Arkansas, and Adam Sanders of Oklahoma; sisters Mary Smith of Benton, Arkansas, and Alma Johnson of Clinton. There are a host of family, friends and churches that will feel the loss of such a wonderful lady. She loved her church singings every week. Betty never met a stranger. Botkinburg Baptist Church was her home for over 10 years, where singing and praising God gave her great peace and joy.
The world will have less laughter in it since she is gone, because she was always kidding around and joking with someone. Thinking of others and their needs was just a part of what made her an irreplaceable, beautiful person. Heaven is a little brighter today since she left this earth.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Malone, Stanley Sanders, Walt Lieviess, Cleveland Puckett, Luke Holley and Junior Holley.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 5th from 6pm to 8pm at Botkinburg Baptist Church. Services will be Thursday at 11 am at Botkinburg Baptist Church with Brother Lewis Puckett officiating. Burial will follow at Half Moon Cemetery.

Mary Smith

This lady was always in my life, from the very beginning. If there was another women on earth that was not my real mama, it was her that came the closest. When I was taking care of her at the end of her life, she was still concerned about me. At night I would be on the couch next to her hospital bed, and she would call out to me, " kathrine are you ok?" I'd tell her, " yes booboo, are you ok?". It made me cry that this woman was dying with cancer right in front of me and she was more concerned for me than herself. That was how selfless this beautiful soul was. No one can replace her on earth. I asked her to be one of my loved ones to meet me at heavens gates when it's my time, and she promised me she would. Till we meet again, booboo, I love you with all my heart and soul.
