Obituary for Betty Lou Davis

Betty Lou Davis, 78, of Clinton, went to her heavenly home on June 1st, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in Benton, Arkansas on December 22nd, 1940 to the late James Wesley Sanders and Martha Paralee Sanders. She is preceded in death by siblings Marion Sanders, Annie Powell, Martha Riley, Luther Sanders, Harvey Sanders, George Sanders, and Mildred Sanders. Her husband of 53 years, Alden Davis stood waiting for their reunion at heavens gates.
Left to cherish the memories is her son, Timothy Davis (Beth) of Ola, Arkansas, granddaughter, Christina Meyers (Robert) of Dennard, Arkansas; brothers James Sanders of Benton Arkansas, and Adam Sanders of Oklahoma; sisters Mary Smith of Benton, Arkansas, and Alma Johnson of Clinton. There are a host of family, friends and churches that will feel the loss of such a wonderful lady. She loved her church singings every week. Betty never met a stranger. Botkinburg Baptist Church was her home for over 10 years, where singing and praising God gave her great peace and joy.
The world will have less laughter in it since she is gone, because she was always kidding around and joking with someone. Thinking of others and their needs was just a part of what made her an irreplaceable, beautiful person. Heaven is a little brighter today since she left this earth.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Malone, Stanley Sanders, Walt Lieviess, Cleveland Puckett, Luke Holley and Junior Holley.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 5th from 6pm to 8pm at Botkinburg Baptist Church. Services will be Thursday at 11 am at Botkinburg Baptist Church with Brother Lewis Puckett officiating. Burial will follow at Half Moon Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Clinton Funeral Service of Clinton. To sign Betty’s online guest book, go to www.clintonfuneralservice.com.
