Obituary for Carolyn Berniece Godfrey
Carolyn Berniece Godfrey (Crow), age 80, departed her earthly home on December 16, 2020, to forever be with her Lord and Savior. Our precious Mother was met at Heaven’s Pearly Gates by the love of her life, Gordon Ray Godfrey and her loving daughter, Brenda Annette Parks.
Carolyn was born to Aline (Ward) and Oliver Crow on June 19,1940 in Archey Valley, Arkansas. She married Gordon Ray Godfrey of Rupert, Arkansas on July 25, 1959 and they spent 60 wonderful years together. Although Ray and Carolyn lived in the State of Washington most of their married life, Carolyn had been a resident of Conway Healthcare & Rehab, Conway, Arkansas, since April 2019.
Carolyn is survived by Daughters: Bernita Sund (Ronald), Edmonds, WA and Beverly Godfrey, Mountlake Terrace, WA; Grandchildren: Timothy Sund (Lacie), Brian Sund, Jeremy Parks (Nicole), Alicia Calderon (Jeremy), Jessica Blaine (Christopher), and Rachel Graziani; and Great-Granddaughters: Kameryn, Madilyn, Harper and Ahnawake; Brother: Bill Crow (Lois); Sister: Kathryn Mathis (George); Son in-law: John Parks; and numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Ray Godfrey; daughter Brenda Annette Parks; Parents Oliver and Aline Crow; Brother Doyle Wayne Crow; and Father and Mother In-law Lolan and Zola Godfrey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
