Obituary for Catherine Alice Welch
Alice Welch was born on June 18, 1938, in Lafayette, Louisiana, and passed away from this life on July 7, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddies and Willie Mae (Harkins) Owers, husband, Harlan "Sonny" Welch, two daughters: Emily Welch, Catherine "Kitty" Welch, and two brothers, Harold Owers, and Randall Owers
Left to cherish her memory are her six children; Mary Jo Shirah, Marvin (Amanda) Welch, Charlotte Welch, Amil Welch, Harlan "Sam" Welch, Henry Welch, two brothers; Howard (Frances) Owers, Ralph (Juanice) Owers, four sisters; Charlotte Dosier Ryder, Rita (Weldon) Terro, Nita (Gene) Vincent, Madeline Overland, and a host of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as ‘Granny Cat’.
The family would also like to include Mrs. Reda Hess and her family for almost two decades of friendship, support, and most of all, love.
