Obituary for Cecelia Lee Poorman

Ceceila Lee Poorman, 80, was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on September 21, 1942, to the late Clarence Ulmer and Lillian Aucker Ulmer, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Eleanor Rouse, brother-in-law, Lewis Rouse, Sr., nephew, Lewis Rouse, Jr., and niece, Sharon Schrader.

Cecelia loved her daughters unconditionally as they were the true apples of her eye. She worked for many years as a seamstress for Dillard’s. She was a very talented lady who put her talents to use. She worked at a popular restaurant, The Pig and Chick, until retirement. In her spare time Cecelia enjoyed crocheting and puzzles, but most of all spending time with her grandkids. She used to love traveling, she and her family would take trips to Florida to visit other family members they had down there. Cecelia was very loved and precious to so many. Memories of her will last a lifetime in the hearts of those that knew her.

Left to cherish the precious memory of Cecelia are her daughters; Darlene Matson, and Debbie Applegate, brother, Harry Ulmer, one nephew Nicholas Matson, one granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, nieces; Brenda Hodge, and Eleanor Rouse-Bates, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Clinton Funeral Service.
