Obituary for Devon Douglas Wooten

Devon Douglas Wooten, 15, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2019, at his home. Born October 13, 2003, in Conway, Arkansas, to Jason and Sarah McDaniel Wooten, Devon was a student at Clinton Public Schools. Devon was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed DC and Marvell Comics, video games, Legis, and being a jokester. Devon loved people and never met a stranger.
Devon began his legacy at age 5, with a cancer diagnosis. He battled for the last 10 years. During this time, he was faced with challenges but overcame it all. He braved this time with courage, strength, and faith that was immeasurable. He brought people and communities together. His grace and optimistic attitude never ceased. Devon was a friend to all. He leaves a lasting impact and will forever be sorely missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jason and Sarah Wooten; siblings Jayleigh and Haylen Wooten; grandparents Jeanie McDaniel and Sandy Wooten; aunts and uncles, Jarred McDaniel, Matt and Kayleigh Wooten, and Kristy Wooten; along with many cousins, friends, and other family.
Devon was preceded in death by his grandfathers Bobby Wooten an Cheston McDaniel.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton. Services will be Wednesday, April 10th, at 2:30 p.m. at the Clinton High School Auditorium with Brother Bill Moran officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore Cemetery in Birdtown.
Pall bearers are Dwayne Watson, Shawn Brewer, Jarred McDaniel, Matt Wooten, Chase Wooten, Jacob Hutto.
