Obituary for Doug Cornelius

Doug Cornelius, 74, of Bee Branch, passed away Friday June 14, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Little Rock.
Born July 24, 1945 to the late James M. and Ruby Doris Williams Cornelius, Doug was retired mechanic from the Arkansas Forestry Commission and was a United States Army Veteran. Doug was a member of the 101st Airborne Division and received the Purple Heart during his service in Vietnam. Doug was a member of Colony Church of Christ and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Kathy Cornelius Harrison and husband Ronald, Michael Cornelius and wife Angela, Stephen Cornelius and Jimmie Cornelius and wife Dori, all of Bee Branch, AR.; grandchildren Seth Moore, AJ Baker, David Baker, Chayton Cornelius, Tyler Boyce, Garrett Wren, Codi Cornelius, Haley Cornelius, Alexis Cornelius and Cade Cornelius and great-grandsons Carson Fuentes and Hunter Baker; sister Doris Treff of Corpus Christi, Texas; and brother in law Tommy Stanley of Center Ridge, Arkansas as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Doug is preceded in death by his wife Helen Payne Cornelius; siblings Marvin Cornelius, Dorothy Stanley, and Mary Hyde.
Visitation will be Monday June 17, 2019 from 5pm to 7pm at Clinton Funeral Service. Services will be Tuesday June 18, 2019 at 10 am at Colony Church of Christ with Brother Carl Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Colony Cemetery.
