Obituary for Douglas Chronister
Douglas Wayne Chronister, 60, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, November 14, 2016 in Dabney.
Born August 11, 1956 in Pratt, Kansas to Marvin Chronister and Karen Dodson Stickley, Doug ran his own business in custom shutters. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors and his music and his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother and step-father, Karen and Carl Stickley; fiancé Glenda Love Kacena; children Hallee and husband Chris Gorrell of Minneapolis, Kansas, Dustin and wife Katy Chronister of Lawrence, Kansas, Jacob and wife Lydia Kacena of North Little Rock, Nicholas Kacena of North Little Rock; siblings Ron and wife Bonnie Chronister of Halstead, Kansas, Lisa Chronister of Hutchinson, Kansas; Eric and wife Geri Chronister of South Hutchinson, Kansas, Carla Morris, and Wade Gillen and partner Marty Toland; grandchildren Kennadie and Brayden Gorrell, and Konner and Avelyn Kacena; several nieces, nephews, family and a multitude of friends.
Douglas is preceded in death by his father, Marvin Chronister.
A gathering of remembrance will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at the E. H. Building in Alread from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please see the family members to donate to Doug Chronister Memorial Fund, to buy musical instruments for underprivileged children.
