Harry Truman Ulmer passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on Tuesday, December 7, 1948, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to the late Clarence and Lillian Aucker Ulmer.
In his younger years, Harry pitched for Loyalsock Little League Baseball Senior Division. He was an ace hurler on the mound throwing pitches no batter could touch. It was a regular thing for him to throw no-hitter games, one right after the other. Not only a powerhouse on the mound, but it also wasn’t uncommon for Harry to blast multiple home runs, grand-slammers, and knock across dozens of runs per game, humiliating teams across the season.
Harry also attended Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania where he achieved his degree in Mathematics. He went on to become a computer programmer working for the Ladies Professional Golf Association in Florida. Harry was a talented man with many accomplishments and a lot of hard work. Now when it comes to just relaxing on the side, he loved watching movies on the Hallmark Channel along with visits to the Grand Ole Opry. Listening to country music was enjoyable to Harry, also watching football, and playing golf. He is going to have fond memories in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Eleanor Rouse and Cecelia Poorman, brother-in-law, Lewis Rouse, Sr., nephew, Lewis Rouse, Jr., and niece, Sharon Schrader.
Left to cherish his memory are his nieces; Darlene Matson, Debbie Applegate, Brenda Hodge, Eleanor Rouse-Bates, three great nieces: Tabitha, Kristine, Samantha, four great nephews: Nicholas, Christopher, Bubba, Matthew, three great-great-nieces: Lillian, Lisa, Issabelle, six great-great-nephews: Corbyn, Jasyn, Christian, Noah, Christopher Jr., Michael, other extended family members, and many friends.
