Obituary for Helen Lessie Cornelius (Payne)
Helen Lessie Payne Cornelius, 65, of Bee Branch, passed away at her home on July 8, 2014. She was born May 28, 1949 to Kenneth and Lena Bolden Payne. Helen was a Christian and attended church at Colony Church of Christ in Bee Branch.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and a brother J.D. Payne. Helen is survived by her loving husband, Douglas Cornelius, of the home; daughter Kathy Cornelius Harrison and husband Ronald, Sons Michael Cornelius and wife Angela, Stephen Cornelius and Jimmie Cornelius and wife Dori, all of Bee Branch, AR. She is also survived by sisters Ruth and Carl Thomason, Geral Valentine, Jean and Bob Underwood and Betty and Ron Thomason, as well as sister-in-law Genevieve Payne. Helen is also survived by grandchildren Seth Moore, AJ Baker, David Baker, Chayton Cornelius, Tyler Boyce, Garrett Wren, Codi Cornelius, Justin Cornelius, Haley Cornelius, Alexis Cornelius and Cade Cornelius and great-grandson Carson Fuentes; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Clinton Funeral Service in Clinton, AR. Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at Colony Church of Christ in Bee Branch, AR with Minister Carl Thomason officiating. Interment will follow at the Colony Cemetery.
