James  L.   Ayers
James Linuel Ayers, 80, of Clinton, passed away Thursday July 27, 2017 at Conway Regional Medical Center.
Born November 2, 1936 in Scotland, Arkansas to the late Thomas and Mayme Mizell, James is a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from Jones Dairy Farm after 39 years of service. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, Experimental Aircraft Association, and was a bus driver and special assistant for handicap children for the Clinton School District.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Erma Ayers, of the home; children Thomas Carl Ayers of Ft. Atkinson, WI., Susan Ayers Humback of Madison, WI., Robert Lee and wife Carmen Ayers of Texas, John Allen Ayers of Alton, IL., Martha Sue Mizell of Clinton, AR.; grandchildren Gregory Brent Humbach, Zachary Ryan Humbach, Caleise Margaret Monat, Nicole Killgallon, Sarah Virginia Ayers, Nicholas Loren Ayers, Courtney Cheyenne Ayers, Kelsey Paige Ayers, Linda Sue Barnett, Candace Dawn, Melissa Danyaile, Ethan Garett, David Wayne, Christopher James; 5 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 10 am to 12 pm at Southside Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Brother Steve Stephens and Reverend Billy Don Crow officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Scotland.
