James Virgil Carroll, 84, of Clinton passed away Sunday May 17, 2015 in Little Rock. Born May 13, 1931 in Shirley to the late Herman Oscar and Virginia ( Treat) Carroll, Virgil was a retired welder. He enjoyed flea markets, fishing and his home church, the Botkinburg Four-Square Gospel Church in Botkinburg.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years Lottie Mae Carroll of Clinton; children Virginia Jeannie Long of Clinton, Karen Barnett and husband Larry of Clinton, Jimmy Carroll of Greenbrier, Jerry Carroll of Clinton, and Tawana Rolen and husband Alan of Shirley; Two sisters, Joyce Thomas of Springdale and Doris Jean Southerland of Sheridan; 13 Grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, three sisters Carolyn Sue Carroll, Ann Young and Helen Faye Halstead; one brother Melvin (Bubby) Carroll and daughters in law Vickie Carroll and Sharon Carroll.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 21st from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Botkinburg Four-Square Gospel Church in Botkinburg.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 21st at 11:00 am at the Botkinburg Four-Square Gospel Church in Botkinburg with Brothers Ester Bass and Alan Rolen officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery in Shirley.
