Obituary for James Henry "Jim" Barton Sr.

James Henry "Jim"  Barton Sr.
James "Jim" Henry Barton, Sr., 82, of Clinton, passed away February 18, 2016, in Searcy. He was born March 13, 1933, in Tyler, Texas to Mr. Barton, who died when Jim was just a small child, and Alice Lee Carroll Barton. He was a 50 year member of the United Association of Union Pipefitters, belonging to Locals in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Hot Springs, AR, before transferring to Little Rock Local 155, where he retired.
Jim is survived by sons, James Barton, Jr. and wife Chris of Jasper, Jess Barton and wife Patsy of Scotland; step-sons David Robison of Queen City, TX, Jerry Robison on Clinton, John Robison and wife Lori of Van Buren, AR and Ray Robison of Little Rock, AR; step-daughters Brenda Isbell and husband Everett of Clinton and Janie Robison of Verbena, AL. He is also survived by siblings Jurl Essary, Eugene Essary, Imogene McKinnley, Pauline Johnson, and Mauda Dell Wells, all of Texas; and numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 49 years, Lois Holt Barton, siblings, Mildred Barton, Bob Essary, and Joe Essary.
