Obituary for James Eugene Craig

James Eugene Craig, 76, of Dennard, Arkansas passed away peacefully at his home with his loved ones by his side Monday, January 2, 2023. He was born in Lonoke, Arkansas, and adopted by his grandparents Elza B. Craig and Mary (Settle) Craig.

James served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a very talented man dedicated to his family. While in Novocherkassk, Russia he found his bride-to-be, Irina Yatsenko. They were happily married in Novocherkassk, Russia November 25, 2006.

James has been an electronic engineer his whole life. He was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church. James loved to fish and enjoyed gardening. He was a handyman, there was nothing he could not fix.

He is preceded in death by both of his grandparents, his first wife, Theresa, and his sister, Tressa.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Irina Craig, son, Robert Craig and wife Rose of Dewitt, Arkansas, stepson, Michael Nyemenim, Dennard, Arkansas, step-daughter, Lilia Nyemenim of Moscow, Russia, five grandchildren, Jessica of Hazen, Arkansas, Elizabeth, of Portland, Oregon, Mark of Qatar, Theodore, of Moscow, Russia, Nickolay, of Maryland, great-grandson, Maverick, of Hazen, Arkansas, brother, Tommy and wife Brenda, of Gillette, Arkansas, daughter-in-law, Nadege Nyemenim, many other relatives, and friends.

A service is scheduled at 11:00 am, Friday, January 6, 2023, at the State Veterans Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas with interment following. Chaplain Bill Holiman will be officiating.
