I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I will always remember him at all the ballgames and his yellowjacket pride. I regret that I will be unable to attend visitation and the service . Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God give you comfort and peace. Stephanie Lawrence

Last time I saw Jimmy was is Jackson, Ms. in 1977 I think, when he was with the Jackson PD. I remember him with fondness as he was a good man. I know we were cousins somewhere on my mother's side & saw him at gatherings back many years ago. I know God has another angel to go around heaven. R.I.P. my friend.

I am blessed that Jim introduced himself to me when I was in Clinton in June. That speaks to the kind of person he was. I'm sure he must have never met a stranger. We talked then about your wedding day which was the last time we saw each other. For obvious reasons neither of us could remember the other! Who knew this would be the only opportunity in fifty years we would have to reconnect, I'm so glad he saw my name tag and spoke. Sammie, my heart hurts for you and your family in his passing for I know you will miss him and feel a loss like no other. However, for Jim I rejoice in that he as already heard the words "Well done my good and faithful servant," and is in his heavenly home for all eternity. Prayers are with you and your family at this time strength, comfort and peace. Leah Bradford Black
