Obituary for John Steven Forsythe
John Steven Forsythe, age 65, of Clinton, Arkansas passed from this life, Friday, January 27, 2023. He was born on May 30, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio to John Wilbur Forsythe and Mabel Reynolds Forsythe.
John's greatest joy was in his family. He adored his daughters and grandchildren and spoke proudly of them. He loved spending time with them and saw the true meaning of life in those beautiful faces of his grandchildren. John also enjoyed spending time outdoors, deer hunting, fishing, and driving. To him, there was nothing like getting on the open road and enjoying the scenery along the way. Very witty with a great sense of humor, John could keep you smiling and laughing most of the time.
There is a lot that can be said about John and what a strong resilient fighter he was. He fought a long hard battle with diabetes and complications where many doctors had said there was no hope. He showed us all what it means to never give up and have faith that the impossible is possible. His memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Forsythe.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters; Crystal and her husband John Stripling, Meagan and her husband Jimmy Self, grandchildren; Ella McMahan, Evelyn McMahan, Drake Self, Rhett Self, lifetime wife, partner, and friend, Gail Forsythe, many other relatives, and friends.
Visitation services will take place from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Clinton Funeral Service Chapel, Clinton, Arkansas. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Culpepper Cemetery, Clinton, Arkansas. Interment will follow.
