Obituary for Joyce Marie Kee

Joyce Marie  Kee
Joyce Marie Bates Kee, 74, of Mabelvale, AR passed away October 19, 2015. She was born December 21, 1940 in Little Rock, AR to James Tom and Ester Stevens Bates. She attended school at Fuller in Little Rock. She worked at Colonial Bread and Kroger and retired from Kroger as Seafood Manager. In 2000, she and her husband James built their dream home in Clinton, AR. She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Clinton, where she was the former chairperson of the Senior Adult activities, Assistant Director of VBS and a leader of Wednesday night youth. She was a former volunteer at Ozark Health Hospital and an active member of the Relay for Life and a Cancer Survivor.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 24 years James D. Kee of Mabelvale, sons Dennis Young of Carthage, IL, Gary Young of Benton, AR and Scott Young of Mabelvale, AR; stepdaughter Sherry Farrow of Cabot, AR and stepson James Kee, Jr. of Gridley, IL. Joyce is further survived by sister Jo Ann Fraccaro of Traverse City, MI, brother James Bates of Little Rock, and sister Jeannette Friermuth of Greenbrier, AR; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, son Bruce Corbit and infant brother William Bates.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Clinton Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11:00 am at Ironton Baptist Church at 14718 Ironton Cutoff Road in Little Rock, AR with Revered Mack Litaker and Reverend John Doyle officiating. Music will be conducted by Clarence Phillips. Interment will follow in Ironton Baptist Cemetery.
Pall Bearers will be served by Bill Ward and her grandsons Josh Corbit, Jeremy Corbit, Adam Corbit, Bruce Corbit, Jr., Alex Young and Jordan Young.
