Obituary for Letha Sorden
Letha Pearl Sorden entered into eternal rest Monday, May 22, 2023. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Clifton Joseph Johnson and Lovey Mae Robinson on April 8, 1954.
Letha lived most of her life in New Orleans where she worked as a taxicab driver. She had just paid off her new taxi when she fell victim to Hurricane Katrina which hit New Orleans in 2005. In the wake of the storm, Letha made her way to Arkansas. She stated that when she had stepped off the bus at Fort Smith she had stepped into her new life. If you knew her you couldn’t help but love her, she always had a smile on her face.
Preceding her in death are her parents, son, David Price, and son-in-law, Leonard Wishem, JR.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her daughter, Erica Wishem, son, John Michael Sorden and wife Racquel, significant other, Weldon Thomas, five grandchildren; LeRoy Sorden, Willie Sorden, Dannielle Sorden, Danisha Sorden, Lyndrika Wishem, six great-grandchildren; Mah-lia Sorden, Legend Sorden, Shyla Johnson, LeRoy Sorden JR., Willow Lee Bailey, Winter Sorden, many other relatives, and friends.
