The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lonnie Smiley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: My thoughts and prayers are with Lonnie's family and friends. Lonnie was a very special man for my sons, Jory,William, and Jayden, who loved him like their grandfather. In sense he filled that void for them in the wake of the loss of their own. Lonnie loved to take my boys hunting and they even have a beautiful "Smiley" hound. Lonnie was a positive in their lives and for their father Jared and they will miss him terribly. I am so thankful for the time and the influence he has had in their life. My God rest his soul and may we celebrate his freedom into a paradise where he no longer feels trapped in a tired body. May we rejoice in happiness that Lonnie is in peace.

Condolence: My condolences to my Uncle Lonnie family. Although we live thousands of miles away, our hearts are aching for you all. I was lucky enough to see him last year and that is when I realized just how much him and his sister( my mom) (Joanne) resemble each other.. My mom passed Nov 3 2013 and 2years to the date Uncle Lonnie went home as well. Paradise has gained another beautiful Angel. Soar high with all the Angels!
