Obituary for Mildred Ganey

Mildred Virginia Platt-Ganey 89, slipped peacefully into her final joyous home with her Lord and Savior January 10, 2015. Now void of severe chronic pain, she reunites with many loved ones, and leaves behind a host of family and friends to grieve the loss of such a loving, giving and delightful soul. A long time resident of Indian Rock Village, Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, she was sincerely grateful, and loved all staff and residents who added significantly to her needs and joys. Wherever she lived, she was mother to many, consistently and generously gave of herself to all who knew her.
Preceding Mildred in death are her granddaughters; Veronica Martin, Kay Kay Townsend, a son Bobby Skelton, her parents, Oliver and Viola Smith-Platt, brothers Chester Platt, Marvin Platt, James Platt, Todd Platt and sisters Gladys Platt, Alfa Platt and Myrtis Swillie of Monroe, LA.; sisters Lois Wollerson and Dorothy Platt ; and a brother, Charlie Platt and daughter Peggy Ann Baty.
Surviving are a brother; Buck Platt, Poplarville, MS.; daughters Lois Randel of Fairfield Bay, AR, Kay Ellis of Gilmer, TX, and Lavern Seki of Iowa. One son and daughter in law, Charles (Wanda) Laurent of Monroe, LA. and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
