Obituary for Rockie Brewer
Rockie Joe Brewer, 63, of Clinton, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord on July 18, 2022. He was born August 23, 1958, to the late Joy Warren and Dorothy Mae (Harmon) Brewer in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Rockie married the love of his life, Ambie Brewer on November 6, 1976. They were blessed with a wonderful forty-five years. Rockie was a hard worker and he counted it a privilege to provide for his family. He spent a lifetime working offshore, as a truck driver, dairy farmer, and pipeline foreman all for the welfare of his family that he loved and cherished. Rockie retired from Hart Farms where he drove trucks. His favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting, driving backroads, and talking about the important things in life, and loved spending time with his grands and great-grandbabies. Rockie was a family man that loved his family. He was of the Church of God faith and made provisions so that his family and friends could meet him again one day.
Rockie was preceded in death by his two sons, Rockey Dewayne Brewer and Sammie Joe Brewer, grandson, Warren Scott Huffman, and brother, Bobby Franklin Brewer.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Ambie Brewer, and his two grandsons that lived with them, Rocky and Samuel Brewer, daughter, Amanda Huffman (Scott) of Clinton Arkansas, son, Matthew Brewer of Austin, Arkansas, and grandsons, Conor Huffman of Clinton, Asher Brewer of Marshall, Troy Brewer of Culpepper, J. J. Brewer of North Carolina, granddaughters Deja Huffman of Plumerville, Bailey Isom (Dylan) of Atkins, Brianna Brewer of Marshall, Sade Harrison of Conway, great-grandchildren, Emma Kate Davis of Plumerville, Daxton Ray Isom of Atkins, sisters, Carolyn Burroughs (Donnie) of Formosa, Marilyn Brewer (Morganton), Gayle Garrett of Clinton, brothers, Kent Cates (Jackie) of Clinton, and Rickie Brewer (Betty) of Center Ridge. Rockie will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Clinton Funeral Service, Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM Funeral Services will be at Hickory Grove Church in Austin, Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 10:00 AM Interment will be at Union Hill Cemetery, Formosa, Arkansas.
