Ronald Jerome Ward was born on September 3, 1949 to Morene Ward Ragland in Marshall, Arkansas. He passed away early Sunday morning, July 29, 2018, at 68 years old at his home on Canaan Mountain. Ron loved his wife and children, family and especially Jesus. He enjoyed Hunting, the outdoors and he was good with his hands. Some people knew his as Rondo or Big Ron, his children knew him as the man, the myth, the legend, Papa. You will forever be in our hearts and on our minds. See you on the other side, we love you.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Peggy Ramona (Mona) Ward; sons, Kevin Counceller, Matthew Ward; daughters, Jackie Horton, Kristie Littrell, Krystal Duggan; grandsons, Nicholas Horton, Levi Ward, Nicholas Peterson, Gabrial Ward, Jonah Counceller; granddaughters, Ashley Ward, Michal Owens, Tori Horton, Samantha Counceller, Chelsie Mensing, Hayley Mainord; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, hundreds of cousins, a few aunts and uncles; one sister, Judy Griffin; numerous friends.
Roald is preceded in death by mother, Morene Ward Ragland; one daughter, Olivia Jane Ward.
Pallbearers are, Matthew Ward, Levi Ward, Benny Horton, Nich Horton, Donnie Mainord, Mike Duggan, Darrell Watts, Gabrial Ward, Kevin Counceller.
A Graveside service will be held Thursday, August 2, 2018, 1pm, at the Canaan Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas with Brother James L. Horton officiating.
