My Daddy...My Hero.

For nearly 42 years, my daddy has been my rock, the one person I could depend on to always be there to answer me when I needed him to.  I can remember him teaching his scared little girl how to hold her breath under water and how to ride my bike without training wheels.  He taught me how to drive a stick, athough he thought I was never going to learn and it took me weeks and lots of patience on his part.

Dad had a genuine heart.  He would have done anything for anyone, and he did.  Whether it be a game of basketball with the neighborhood kids, or driving 16 hours to see his grandson's graduation, he did not hesitate.  Not once.  It took me 42 long years to figure out that he had a heart big enough to love everyone of us unconditionally.

My dad could light up a room with his laughter.  He wanted to make everyone happy and he did.

His laugh made me laugh.  His laughter filled a room and he was able to make everyone around him happy.

My dad was the strongest, toughest man I know.  He wanted more than anything to be a good father. "Well, dad, you nailed it ~ You are My Hero"

"I just wanted one more day..."
