Obituary for Russell Dudley Bryan
Russell Dudley Bryan, 66, died Tuesday March 18, 2014, due to complications of recent heart surgery. He was in law enforcement in Hayward, California for 20 years, and then returned to Georgia and North Carolina, where he remained in law enforcement until he was injured in the line of duty. He moved to Arkansas in 1999 and resided in the Leslie area until 2012 when Ozark Health Nursing Center became his home due to numerous illnesses.
Russell was preceded in death by his father, Dudley Bryan. Surviving family members include his wife Sherry of Leslie, his mother Doris Brooks Bryan of Snellville, GA, his brother Malcolm Bryan and wife Karen, of Dacula GA, his sister Elaine Bryan of Snellville, GA, a niece Casey Paul and a nephew Cory Bryan, both of Georgia, a step daughter Dee De Parker Pack of Troy, NC, and numerous extended family in Georgia.
The family thanks the staff of OHNC and OHMC for all of their care during his illness.
Family services will be held at a later date in Georgia.
