Steve Allen  Neddersen (U.S.M.C Major, Retired)
Major Steve Allen Neddersen (USMC) Ret., 60, of Clinton, passed away November 21, 2015. He was born January 6, 1955 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to the late Allen and Frances Robertson Neddersen.
He graduated from Fort Smith Southside High School in 1973 and Arkansas Tech University in 1978. He was commissioned in the Marine Corps in 1978, where he served as a Naval Flight Officer, flying F-4's and F/A-18D aircraft. He was a TOPGUN and WTI graduate, and served his country around the world, including Operation DENY FLIGHT in Bosnia. Upon retirement, Steve worked for Boeing in St. Louis, MO as an F/A-18 Aircrew Instructor. He was a member of several military organizations and The United Methodist Men of Clinton, AR.
Steve was an Assistant Boy Scout Master for several troops, a Little League Coach, and a dedicated Civil War Re-enactor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Francis Neddersen.
Steve is survived by his wife of 37 years, Karen (Moore) Neddersen of Clinton, AR; son Captain Travis Neddersen (Katie) of Fort Irwin, CA; daugther Kristen Rose (CW2 Scott Rose) of Fort Bragg, NC; grandchildren Lillian and Rebecca Neddersen and Kevin and Madeline Rose; his sister Janice Intres (John) of Baton Rouge, LA; and nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery following a graveside service.
