Thomas Eugene “Tom” Huie, 76, of Choctaw AR, passed away on November 5th 2020 at UAMS Little Rock.
Tom loved to garden, hunt, watch the news and old westerns, and to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved spoiling his dog, Cassie. Tom loved to tell stories and to get people laughing. He had the best sayings for every situation. But most of all he loved his wife, Dianna.
Tom was born in Clinton AR, on September 24 1944 to Jesse Huie(dec) and Mae Huie(dec). He was one of 7 kids. Mary Kay(dec), Larry Huie, Opie Huie(dec), Nara Linn, John Huie(dec), and Danny Huie.
Tom worked as an operation supervisor for Petit Jean for 40 years. He was beloved by his work family.
Tom and Dianna were married for 57 years and they built a wonderful life together. They weathered bad times together and flourished through the good.
Tom had 3 sons with his wife, Dianna. His sons were Bryan Tracy, Greg Eugene, and Marvin James Huie. Marvin and Bryan preceded him in death. Tom was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Tom is survived by his wife, Dianna Huie, his son Greg Huie, his grandchildren Joshua Huie, Alyssa Huie, Matthew Huie, and great grandchildren Aviella Huie, Asher Huie, and Alana Huie. He also leaves behind a beloved daughter in law, Debra Huie, granddaughter in law, Elise Huie, sister Nara Linn, and brothers Larry Huie and Joe Huie.
Tom is preceded in death by his two sons, Bryan and Marvin Huie, sister Mary Kay, brothers Opie Huie, John Huie, and his parents Jesse and Mae Huie.
The family is having a private ceremony to celebrate Tom’s life Sunday November 8th 2020.
Honorary pallbearers will be Van Bowling, Grady Emerson, Adam McJunkins, Darrell Allen, and Greg Holland.
