Obituary for Herbert Reeves

Herbert  Reeves
Herbert Loren Reeves, Jr., 79, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He was born December 18, 1935 to the late Herbert Loren, Sr. and Lavina Harness Reeves. He loved to fish and do wood-working and served as the Sheriff of Searcy County from 1974 to 1982. Herbert also served his country in the Army and worked in Construction before and after serving as Sheriff.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Evelyn, of the home, sons Brandon and wife Holli Reeves of Clinton, Jimmy and wife Donna Reeves of Marshall and Mark and Kim Reeves of Conway; daughter Becky Adams of Fayetteville. He is also survived by sisters Mary Lee, Marjorie Freeman and Rita Anderson; 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren; 8 nieces and nephews as well as many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Judy Horton and grandson Joseph Adams.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Clinton Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am at the Clinton Funeral Service Chapel with Minister Eddie Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Leslie.
Pallbearers will be Ernie Born, Royce Daugherty, Michael Canatloupe, Tony Hedge, Gale Breedlove, and Colby Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be served by his sons, Mark Reeves, Jimmy Reeves and Brandon Reeves.
