Obituary for Louis Jesse Harmon

Louis Jesse  Harmon
Louis J. Harmon, 91, of Bee Branch, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on April 8, 1929, to John and Jessie Harmon.
Louis married the former Dorothy Lee McWhorter of Little Rock, Arkansas, on April 8, 1950, in Little Rock, and they enjoyed 65 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2016. They made their home and raised two boys and one girl on Elam Street in Little Rock. From the age of 18, Louis worked fifty-one years for West Tree Service, overseeing maintenance of the company’s equipment. In 1995, Louis and Dorothy built their retirement home, Eagle’s Nest, alongside the property of lifelong friends Johnny and Dorothy Nuckles, in Bee Branch. As a husband, father, and friend, Louis modeled Christian values. He loved his Lord, his family, his friends, and his dogs. Louis was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Lee McWhorter Harmon, his parents, brothers Carl Harmon and Floyd Harmon, and sister Ruby Harmon.
He is survived by his son Robert Harmon and wife Joy of South Africa, son Larry Harmon and wife Stacy of Bee Branch, Arkansas, daughter Debbie Murfin and husband Joe of Rogers Arkansas, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
No visitation or funeral service will take place. The family and friends will meet for a brief graveside service at Bee Branch Cemetery, Bee Branch, Arkansas, on Monday, July 13th, at 10:00 AM. Son Robert Harmon will deliver a brief message, electronically, from his home in South Africa.
Pall Bearers are, Nathan Swofford, Derrick Harrison, Calvin Townsend, Stuart Leonard, Howard Brooks, and Bobby Swaty.
