Lula Mae Martin, 84, of Shirley, Arkansas departed from this world on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. She was born October 19,1935 in Gregory Township to Mr. Joseph Smith and Goldie Anderson Smith. Lula worked as an LPN before retiring to enjoy family life. She is remembered by her family as being headstrong and one who “told it like it is.” She will be deeply missed by her many family members and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Barbara Selby, Andrew Tirpak Jr., Michael Tirpak, Steven Tirpak, Bobby Joe Martin, James J. Martin; siblings Clarence Smith, Martin Smith, Bruce Smith, Judy Ketten, Cristina Davis, grandchildren Eric Hainey, Danielle Selby, Wendy Watts, Sheena Tirpak, Amber Tirpak, Ashton Martin, and great grandchildren Tyler Watts, Liam Gentry, Lathan Gentry, Elliot Wesner.

Lula is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Goldie Smith and siblings Joe Seman, Molly Harris, Clara Atwood, Joseph Smith, Jr. and James Smith.

A memorial service will be held by the family on October 24, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Clinton, Arkansas with Alan Rolan officiating.
There will be no graveside service.
