Obituary for Mario Panicci

Mario "Joe" Panicci, 80, of Mountain View, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at his home with his wife by his side. Born October 8, 1935 to the late John and Josephine Isabella Panicci in Paterson, NJ., Joe was a US Army veteran, serving three years in Germany. He was saved and baptized in 1985 and was a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church.
At a young age he became interested in horses and spent lots of time working in stables and for many horseman. After returning from the Army, Joe returned to Paterson and drove trucks, worked construction and started rodeoing, riding rough stock. He rode with Rocking R Rodeo Company where he met his future wife, Doris. They married and settled in Indiana where they continued rodeoing and started several business and he became an avid deer hunter.
In the early 1970's he moved to Mountain View, were he worked in sawmills, worked off shore drilling and started his shop. After surviving bladder cancer, he enjoyed visiting with friends, motorcycles, and loved buying, selling, and trading about anything. He recently worked for the city of Mountain View and enjoyed his job and crew. He was very upset when the doctor told him he had to give it up. He lived the song " I did it my way."
Joe is survived by Doris Torey Panicci and his sister, Angelina Biondello of Little Falls, NJ .
He was preceded in death by brothers Albert, Joseph, Anthony, Adolf, John Panicci and a sister Deloris Kevit, all of New Jersey.
