I met Jack about 25 years ago as he and Carolyn were in South AL visiting Prisons. Jack stopped to look at a "kit" car I had for sale on my lot. I was a brand new Christian, about 1 year. It was a joy for me to talk to Jack and he invited me to one of his Prison Services at Atmore, AL. He also gave me some of his books "The Enforcer", all which have been given away many years ago. A friend of mine picked up Jack and met Carolyn at their "Bus" and went to the Prison. It was my first time to go into a Prison. It was a unique experience and it was obvious this was Jack's calling. After Jack's message, we were fellowshipping and talking to some of the Prisoners. They all had their Last Name on their Prison Clothes. I was talking to one of the men, saw his last name and and asked him if he was related to "Cecil" (Not real name)? He said yes, that Cecil was his Brother. What providence of God, because Cecil worked for me for a couple of years. I asked the Prisoner if he wanted me to say anything to Cecil. He said "tell him I love him... and Jesus loves him also". What a testimony from a man in prison for killing someone, sending this message.
I have prayed for Jack and Carolyn for all of these years. I had just prayed for them and decided to see what news I could find on the internet. My surprise was seeing Jack's obituary. Carolyn, I am so sorry. I know you will miss him. But I know you are also glad Jack is with our Lord and Savior and Jack is with many of those he shared the Gospel with. I am certain Jesus said to Jack "Well done my good and faithful servant".
See you again one day my Brother in Christ.... Jim
