I knew Happy Jack back when he was the enforcer. Even at the height of his enforcer career, there was something special about him underneath it all I was just out of high school alone in the city. I asked him one night if he didn't really want out of that life. I knew him well before JK was shot and killed. I often wondered over the years if our talk ever affected his life choices. Jk was murdered by what he would have called a punk. The night we talked, I'd just been kidnapped by another syndicate member and left alone in a car with Jack. I'd stayed calm. He was easy to talk to and had girls working for him too. He never made them stay in the life. He seemed to have an odd respect for women given his life style. Of all those organized crime people, he was the only one who seemed to have a something special in him. I am pleased to read about all his huge family of decendants. We are all here for a purpose. Jack met his destiny. I doubt anyone will see this. I am 76 now and will soon cross over with terminal cancer. The night of our talk, I'd been left in a car alone with Jack, left there by JK It was a dark period in my life, I'd moved to South Bend to escape severe child abuse. Jack was so comfortable to sit with and talk to in that car. He went into the darkness and shone his light there where it was needed. Weshared our light that night.
GWB.
I got his book, the "Enforcer" I doubt anyone will see this. Jack's been gone now about 6 years.
